Dear Mr. Disco,

I beg to differ with your observation of the African- American response to "Natural Women" In point of fact,it is UNIVERSALLY loved by EVERYONE of my generation and then some. The funny part is, that you are too young to know this. Equally humorous,is that I open up with it for several reasons not the least of which is that it occupies the very top of my library under "A" for Aretha, Ha Ha Ha! It's also easy to get to and great to play as a warm-up and an ice-breaker. Not to mention, that I love the tune so much I am not afraid to play it though I be a MAN.

Ultimately, the REAL REASON I play "Natural Women" is that it is a Secret triple intendre, But again, your probably too young to appreciate that.

Thanks for the Play, and keep up the Good Work!

You can gain in a tangible way. I know i have, as intellectually the understanding is meaningless in face of the EXPERIENCE.Its the REAL happening that holds for

[...] Day’s Update 4/23/08 I was pretty excited since I just made it home from work not even 15 minutes ago, when I opened my mail and received a new copy of The New Yorker. I hung it over the trash in my kitchen to shake out the subscription cards when I noticed a black and white photo of two old men playing banjo and fiddle. In the photo caption was the name Art Rosenbaum and I knew immediately it was an article about the “Art of Field Recording” box set I had wrote about only a week or so ago. [...]
